What’s in Your Bag?

Hey Ariel! Nice to see you, thanks for chatting with us about your Tsuchiya Bags. First question: Is this your work bag or everyday bag? When do you use your bag?”

Anytime I need my work things (laptop, etc) with me when I leave my studio.

What does this bag say about you?

I think it makes me feel a bit more grown up and professional. It's a very beautiful bag, but it also has a commanding quality to it that seems cultivated and experienced.

What’s in your bag? Can we have a peek?

Almost always my "essentials" meaning laptop, keys, sunglasses, necessary documents needing my attention, probably a protein bar, and one of my cameras.

If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you?

I think they would want to meet me right away😉

What’s the most important item you carry in your bag?

Typically it's my laptop, I'm very dependent on it!

I may not use this pocket very often, but this is actually my favorite part of this bag.  Every once in a while I will have a need to stash something small or flat, and this pocket is great for that but mostly I just think it gives the bag character.  It’s just a nice detail.

I really appreciate that I don't need to use a separate laptop case, this interior pocket fits my laptop (MacBook Pro 16 inch) perfectly and protects it.

Thank you Ariel! We love your style and the way you wear your Tsuchiya bags!

Traditional Italian leatherwork meets precision Japanese technology

Vachetta is a high-quality leather produced in Italy using traditional methods. We combined the suppleness of this leather with Tsuchiya Kaban's special method perfected from over 50 years of making Randoseru bags for Japanese schoolchildren, to produce this briefcase. It is the product of a marriage between traditional Italian leatherwork and Japanese craftsmanship.
