Three Creatives on Philosophy and Style
Timeless companions that get better with age, enriching the everyday. Three Taiwanese creatives in their 30s, 40s, and 50s share how the luxurious appeal of our Cordovan collection reflects the personal philosophies they've cultivated over the years—and what they've chosen to value in their respective chapters of life.
Born in 1991 with a background in fashion design, Enzu shares his refined personal aesthetic while working at a Japanese tea shop. In his 30s, he's become intentional about slowing down, seeking tranquility in daily life rather than chasing the noise of the outside world.
Known for photography that emanates warmth and storytelling, Charles balances trading lifestyle goods with teaching photography. Life in his 40s has taught him to value the warmth captured through the lens—seeing photography as a method of preserving precious moments in the mundane everyday.
Moments That Signal the Beginning of a New Chapter
As we go through our lives, the ways in which we relate to ourselves, our time, and our belongings, evolve. What are the moments that tell us we've entered a new chapter, and how have they shifted the ways we move through the world?
It wasn’t long ago that Enzu had the comforting realization that he no longer needed to push himself into overdrive. It was a sensation that washed over him as he settled into his thirties. Today, he has come to see caring for his own wellbeing as the most graceful way to relate to himself.
For Charles, a tradesman and photographer in his forties, it was a slideshow his smartphone showed him of his child's growth over the years. Prompting him to reflect on his use of time, he quickly resolved to spend it exclusively on the people and things that truly matter to him.
Chung Yuan, a designer in his fifties, says age holds less importance than it once did; what truly matters now is maintaining curiosity and keeping his spirit free of self-imposed limitations.
The Philosophy of Choosing Our Belongings
Each drawn to objects that deepen with the imprints of passing time, our three creatives share what they've come to choose in their current chapters—valuing the irreplaceable bond we feel with belongings we spend many moments with.

Enzu noticed he'd shifted from buying things that grabbed his attention, to choosing things with utility he can use for years. Compact and streamlined, his Cordovan Coin Case makes retrieving coins an intentional and unhurried act, matching his current pace.

Charles notes that he has come to choose belongings that balance practicality with timeless refinement. The Cordovan Slim Bifold Wallet reminds him of a well-crafted film camera—a classic essential made with solid materials and meticulous technique, deepening in character with each use. Objects with the kind of presence that transform even everyday actions into something worthy of grace and attention.

Chung Yuan recalls that in his youth, he sought variety to satisfy his desires. Now he believes in "fewer and better," refusing to compromise on his tastes, or own unnecessary things.
As a leather enthusiast, he's captivated by the way leather items develop their unique patina. He enjoys the intentionality of carrying a separate coin case, especially on travels; it brings an elevated touch to even the most whimsical moments, like stumbling upon a capsule toy machine on a Japanese street corner.

Beyond their Cordovan wallets, our creatives shared one irreplaceable item in their lives.
Enzu | Yellow Mug
"It's a very ordinary mug, but it's been with me since childhood. It reminds me that life doesn't need constant upgrades; sometimes just being there is enough."
Charles | 85mm Lens
"This lens has been with me on many of life’s journeys. It has a magic that makes me slow down. Through it, I observe light, color, and everyday moments. What seem like ordinary moments are my most authentic records of life."
Chung Yuan Kuo | Mickey Mouse Analog Watch
"I received this as a gift when I was a child. Every time I see Mickey on the dial, it reminds me to keep that irreplaceable childlike spirit alive."
