Also Known As: Masked Devilock
A Wrestler and President, working for New Japan Pro Wrestling

Known professionally as Hiroshi Tanahashi—also by his stage persona, the Masked Devilock—he’s been hailed as both “The Ace” and a “Once-in-a-Century Talent.” Tanahashi is not only an active wrestler but also the President of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Since his debut in 1999, he has become a legendary figure in the wrestling world, known for his iconic matches and enduring charisma. In 2025, he embarked on his Final Road tour, leading up to his retirement match at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026, at the Tokyo Dome.

Tsuchiya Kaban Creates
Tanahashi's Custom Gear Bag

Created to transport Tanahashi's ring costumes, this massive backpack was perfected through multiple design sessions between Tanahashi and Tsuchiya Kaban's designers. The interior features a three-layer structure to separately store his entrance robes, boots, and other gear. The comfortable shoulder straps and back support showcase the time-honored craftsmanship at the heart of Tsuchiya Kaban.

The S-shaped, feathered shoulder straps draw inspiration from the decorative elements of Tanahashi’s entrance robes. Crafted entirely from leather, each feather is individually folded to evoke real plumage, and finished with unique gradient coloring and meticulous edgework.
Due to the backpack’s enormous size, our craftsmen worked in teams to complete the stitching. The sides are crafted from black patent leather, cut in dynamic patterns inspired by Tanahashi’s ring gear. A gradient finish and specialized embossing treatments enhance the visual impact—capturing the essence of Tanahashi’s larger-than-life presence.
