Our starting point as a brand was the randoseru: an iconic example of a bag that commemorates a significant milestone for children in Japan. Over our 60 years crafting quality bags, it has inspired us to create leather pieces that can mark the milestones in our lives as adults as well.

We wondered—how could we create a bag that feels exceptional, yet seamlessly fits into the everyday? What material would best bring our vision to life? What shape and functions would make it truly timeless? Our goal was to craft a piece that feels exquisite enough for special occasions, yet versatile for daily use. The Legacy Logo line embodies this delicate balance in the way it highlights the natural beauty of leather—particularly its expressive, sculptural qualities.

The process of creating this three-dimensional "T" pattern was not without its fair share of challenges. We soon learned that giving the logo more height did not result in a cleaner pattern the way we'd hoped. The only way to find the best iteration was to continue to experiment with painstaking attention to detail, altering the logo height 0.1mm at a time.

The next challenge was finding a way to maintain both the beauty of the premium Italian leather itself, while ensuring that the logo pattern would remain clear over time. Through further trial and error, we refined the backing material—striking the perfect balance between pliability and durability—while fine-tuning the exact pressure and temperature needed for embossing.
