Developed by Toray Industries with cutting-edge ultra-microfiber technology, Ultrasuede®TS is a highly functional synthetic leather with the elegance of natural suede. Along with its refined matte aesthetic, soft texture, and lightweight ease, it offers the modern convenience of home laundering. Crafted partly from plant-based renewable resources, it also reduces environmental impact.
Soft and supple yet exceptionally resistant to tearing, abrasion, and pilling, the material balances comfort with durability. With moderate breathability and moisture permeability, it offers comfortable carrying and easy maintenance.
Elevating this material is an exclusive Tsuchiya Kaban original design. Using a specialized laser processing machine—one of only four in the world—a refined ripple pattern is engraved onto the surface. Inspired by the traditional Japanese "seigaiha" (blue ocean wave) motif, it has been modernized to complement contemporary styling.
Important Care Instructions
- If ironing is necessary: First, align the nap using a soft-bristle fabric brush. Always place a pressing cloth over the garment and iron lightly on the low/synthetic setting (120°C or lower) without applying pressure.
- Material: Crafted from synthetic leather (polyester and polyurethane blend).
- Washing: Can be laundered at home with a washing machine set to "delicate." Check the care label for specific instructions.
- Fabric characteristics: Constructed from ultra-fine fibers (approximately 1/20th the thickness of a human hair) with a soft, delicate texture. Repeated rubbing may cause pilling or tearing.
- Color precautions: Exposure to water, perspiration, or friction may cause color bleeding or transfer onto other garments. Avoid wearing on rainy or humid days, or with light-colored clothing.
