Smooth Kip Leather
Smooth Kip Leather, known for its glossy surface, meticulously finished to achieve peak smoothness
Our 'Smooth Kip Leather’ is defined by a finely-grained surface unique to young cattle. Meticulously tanned and finished, we carefully balance dye and pigment to achieve translucency in color, enhancing depth through iron finishing. To ensure quality, we select only the finest hides, conducting wet-blue tanning after importing the hides with hair. Subsequently, dyeing and fatliquoring (an oiling process) occur in drums, followed by drying and vibration processing for a flat finish. Finally, pigments and dyes are applied, adjusting the texture with more vibration and finishing the surface with an iron for the perfect outcome. This thorough process results in a smooth surface that accentuates the leather's natural qualities and depth, complemented by a balanced and translucent color.
The Look of Natural Leather
We have chosen to keep natural markings such as scars, wrinkles, veins, and pores on the cowhide to showcase the natural appearance of the leather in our products. This is one of the most distinctive features of our bags. The appearance of the leather will vary depending on the part of the hide and individual differences between animals. Through careful observation, you will uncover your leather product's unique, one-of-a-kind appearance.
