Oil Buffed Leather
Leather that develops a soft luster with use, Oiled leather that grows more alluring with age
Oil Buffed Leather is a natural leather with a rustic finish, soft touch, and rugged look. It is made with combination tanned cowhide leather. The grain surface (top surface) is buffed and polished (sanded with abrasive until a velvety surface is formed), after which layers of wax and oil are repeatedly applied. The oil-rich leather brings out the pull-up effect—the dispersion of oil through the leather fibers when bent or rubbed—across the entire surface. The light creases, scratches, and dye give the leather a uniquely rustic look that is quite appealing. The luster that grows softer with use and the unique color variations in the aging leather make it even more alluring. Enjoy this leather as it develops a unique patina over time.

The Look of Natural Leather
We have chosen to keep natural markings such as scars, wrinkles, veins, and pores on the cowhide to showcase the natural appearance of the leather in our products. This is one of the most distinctive features of our bags. The appearance of the leather will vary depending on the part of the hide and individual differences between animals. Through careful observation, you will uncover your leather product's unique, one-of-a-kind appearance.
