Elastic Milled Leather

Elastic Milled Leather

A lustrous leather with an understated elegance that is soft and rich in character

The main material of this series is elastic milled leather handcrafted by Japanese tanners. The leather is made from North American chrome tanned leather dyed using a semi-aniline process, milled to form natural creasing and puckering, and finally ironed to give it a glassine look. This sophisticated leather is great for formal business occasions and develops a natural luster with time, allowing the user to enjoy the natural aging of the leather. Its sturdiness and moderate softness give anyone using this leather a clean, understated look. Soft cowhide leather is used for the back cushion pad and the inside of the shoulder straps, as these are the parts that come in contact with the body. This is the same material used in the production of Randoseru. Its excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties create a very comfortable carrying experience.

The Look of Natural Leather

We have chosen to keep natural markings such as scars, wrinkles, veins, and pores on the cowhide to showcase the natural appearance of the leather in our products. This is one of the most distinctive features of our bags. The appearance of the leather will vary depending on the part of the hide and individual differences between animals. Through careful observation, you will uncover your leather product's unique, one-of-a-kind appearance.
