Minerva Liscio

A natural Italian leather that develops a charming patina over time

"Minerva Liscio" leather is made at the famous Badalassi Carlo Tannery by local tanners that follow traditional tanning techniques that have been in use for over a millennium. The raw hide is sourced from the shoulders of adult cows. It’s tanned using only vegetable tannins, and large quantities of oil, primarily tallow, are added. The tanning process is quite time-intensive. "Liscio" is Italian for "smooth," and the surface of the resulting leather is exactly as the name implies. This smoothness gives people a warm and open feeling. "Minerva Liscio," which comes in natural hues unique to Italy, is a premium leather with a rich texture that develops a charming patina.
